In the recent magazines that I have been reading, and Youtube videos I've been marathon-ing, there's been an uprising with 70's trends coming back. The 70's mainly consisted of variations of denim, platform shoes, and culottes.
Denim Skirts
Remember wearing these in the early 2000's? I remember being a child and wearing a denim skirt with an embroidered flower crawling up the side. Oh how much I do not miss that skirt. Nowadays you can see people in the streets wearing a button-front jean skirts.
Easy to style and modest to wear, a denim skirt is ideal for a day out and about.

Platform Shoes
I've been seeing platform shoes for the past year or so but they seem to be receiving more mainstream attention.
Comfortable and easy to style, platform shoes just add a subtle height to any outfit.

I'm not a big fan of culottes that are excessively boxy and swallow up the silhouette of a person.
Example on left.
Culottes that are tailored to a person's body, and flows well with their body structure, is a definite A+ in my book.

THEY LOOK
The best part about culotte shorts is that they look like skirts but they're just baggy shorts and they're so comfortable especially for the summer since there's loose fabric hanging over your butt instead of heavy and tight denim that give you a wedgie every time you get up (may be TMI but it's the honest truth).
